Gnossiennes No. 3 & 4 - Erik Satie
These two pieces represent the hauntingly beautiful and elegantly emotional harmonic structures of French avant-garde composer and pianist, Erik Satie. Both were composed in the 1890s. I recorded both pieces for the film Elegy starring Penelope Cruz and Sir Ben Kingsley.
Sante Fe landscape architect, Will Iadevaia, requested I perform some Satie, so these pieces are dedicated to him and his exquisite taste.
